That’s what my little inner two-year old self feels like shouting every time I finish a session with Miss Rhiannon.  She is always such a delight and the epitome of cuteness every time I see her and we have so much fun together.  I could say more, but honestly, I think the images speak for themselves:).

Blowing kisses, MWAH!

Rhiannon, you are growing into such a delightful and lovely little girl–come and play again soon, okay?  Mwah!

I know, I know, I said I was only taking maternity, newborn, and baby sessions this year.  I do have a couple of sessions over the next little bit that were requested as long ago as last spring, and despite the fact that there’s already a bit of a waddle to my pregnant step, I am so grateful for the chance to get outside and shoot again.  What can I say about this amazing family?  Just that I love them to pieces.  Over the past few years, our families have become such good friends and I know my family is going to be so sad when they leave for their next adventure.  On top of that, I have had the extreme pleasure of watching this family grow over the years, from their stunning mama, to sweet baby girl here, here, and here, and even big brother and sister.

We decided to shoot at one of my favorite locations–Lindsey’s Orchard in the midst of apple blossom season.  Scheduling these sessions can be so tricky since the flowers only last a few days and springtime weather in New York is unpredictable at best.  Usually, I just have to stalk to orchard and when I see flowers, we set up the session for the next day or two.  It worked out perfectly this year.  So we headed out for some fun:).

I don’t know what Dad said here, but I am guessing it was pretty good:).

Guys, thanks for a perfect evening!

So, I have been so excited for William’s 9-month session.  I love every single newborn session I have the privilege to shoot, but every now and then I get one that just stays with me, and William’s was one of those.  He was such a sleepy, content, BEAUTIFUL newborn that I couldn’t wait to see him again.  Let’s just say he didn’t disappoint.  He was just as easy and happy as a 9-month old as he was easy and mellow as a 10-day old.  I had so much fun, and I think he did too:).

Little William, it was a pleasure–see you in a few months!

Well, what could be more perfect than holding Miss Rhiannon Rose’s 6 month session in the Schenectady Rose Garden?  Just getting to see her again, maybe.  Every single session, she is just such a delight to spend a few hours with–such a happy, lovely, delightful little girl in every single way.

I tend to automatically think about baby sessions in black and white, especially studio sessions.  I light my baby portraits in such a way so that they will show off all those wonderful plump, round baby curves and tiny details when converted to a black and white image.  I choose blankets and backdrops, props and locations based on a final black and white image.  Knowing that my clients will want color images to really capture their sweet babies’ coloring, as well as timeless, simple black and white images, I also shoot and show color images.  Sometimes I have to remind myself to include those color images because I just love the lighting and shadowing in the black and white conversions.  For this session, however, I couldn’t bring myself to show any of these blog images in black and white because the summer color in the garden was just so, so beautiful.

Rhiannon Rose, 6 months:

Such a beautiful, lovely family!

I just can’t believe how fast she is growing up!

Gosh, I just love that funny face and the sweet shape of her mouth in this one.

I think the hardest part of this session has been deciding what to show.  I could have shown 5 times this many and still left out favorites, but there just isn’t the time or bandwidth.  Plus, mama needs some surprises to look forward to:).  Rhiannon, a delight, as always.  Can’t wait to see you again and get some more snuggles in a few months!

Sweet baby Anna was not so sure about this whole portrait thing.  And, really, who can blame her?  I’d much rather be snuggled up with my mom and dad (or husband and kids) than pretty much anywhere else.  She was such a trooper, though.  I loved seeing just how much she loved her parents–and mom and dad adored her right back.  I was telling them at the session how much she reminds me of my own squishy babies.  I just loved every sweet little roll!

There were so many sweet family shots, but this one just tugs at my little heart strings.

We caught a couple smiles:).

She just loved her little piggie-toes!

Hand down, session favorite for me!

Thanks for coming to play sweetheart!  See you soon:).
