Because sometimes you are moving halfway across the country to Kansas City and you have to text your best friend and ask her to please bring that cute baby by one more time before you have to pack up all your equipment.
Maya, 3 months:
I love, LOVE newborns, but is there anything more scrumptious than a sleeping older baby with those cheeks and that chub? I kind of don’t think so.
And catnaps make for really happy mellow babies:).

One of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. My dear friend Allison is expecting her 6th baby (5th baby girl) in just a few short weeks. She is a true super-mama. And, you know, when you find something you do really well…:). Crossing my fingers and hoping and praying that baby girl gets here before my equipment gets packed away. I cannot wait to meet her!

Baby Jillian, 8 days:
I don’t often have the chance to photograph families without an itty bitty person, but when I do, it’s so much fun! I just love capturing those interactions between family members, especially siblings, so when my sister-in-law came to visit with her 5-year old twins I couldn’t wait to photograph them. To focus on those relationships, we kept the clothing super simple in the studio. We had so much fun playing games together, and I adore these images:).
Three years ago, I photographed darling baby Ernesto. Now, he is a great big three-year old with the best birthday present ever–a baby brother! I guess Dominic is already following in his big brother’s footsteps, starting with the very same birthday. I could not get enough of his squishy cheeks and perfect little fauxhawk.
