So, I thought I would be getting a new house in Kansas City for Christmas this year. Alas, that was not the timing that was meant to be for our family. And even though it’s been difficult to be in limbo, it’s been wonderful to have a little extra time with our friends here–and to get to spend one more Christmas with them.
But that left the whole issue of my gift. If you can’t have the new house you wanted, what is the only worthwhile consolation prize? Obviously, it’s getting to photograph your family. And so I did.
