One of my very, very favorite things is having clients come back again, renewing those friendships, and seeing how those families are growing and changing.  This week I had the opportunity to photograph the sweetest baby girl (little sister to this little beauty), a gorgeous mama to be (you may have seen her here), and, of course, my own darling girl.  It was a girlie, lavender-pink kind of week:).

Just by way of announcement, I will be out of the office until Monday, January 23rd.  When I get back, lots more lovely images of these lovely people:).

This past year was quite an adventure.  2011 brought so many challenges as well as blessings–and in the midst of it all, I had the privilege to photograph some of the most wonderful and beautiful clients.  I can’t wait to see what is in store for this coming year!

Unfortunately, it’s only on portraits and not on sleep:).  I have shared this before, but I have to share it again because it just so perfectly describes those first few months of new parenthood… once the euphoria and adrenaline wear off.

The good news is that everyone is doing well and we are settling in to our new family.

And what you really came for:).

And a girl after my own heart.  I am not a huge Hershey’s fan, but but it’ll do in a pinch.  Now, if I could have found a Lindt crate…

And a current shot of my baby girl who has gained 3.5 pounds in 6 weeks–maybe that’s why it feels like I’m never getting any sleep;).

One of my biggest photo priorities was to get images of Eva with her Daddy and her siblings, so that became the goal for days 10 and 11.  I thought briefly of trying to get a group shot of all the kids, but I had already arranged for the supremely talented Brittany Woodall of Baby as Art in San Diego to come and photograph Eva.  I decided to leave the impossible shots for her.  And she got them–you can see them and all of her other beautiful work with Eva here.

In the meantime, I photographed all of my sweet people with my newest little person.  Warms my heart:).

Now, how to get a sibling shot with a not-quite-two-year-old who is not so sure about this new baby sister (as in, he wouldn’t even look at her for 2 or 3 days)?  I shot 5 frames in 30 minutes and 2 ended up being keepers.  But they make me giggle:).

Could I be any luckier?  I don’t think so:).

My baby was four weeks yesterday.  I cannot believe how much she’s grown and how much older, more alert, and more aware she is already.  It’s a bittersweet thing watching your babies grow up–torn between wanting to stop time and savor every brand new moment and impatiently waiting to see who they will become.
