Or maybe we skipped right over spring and straight to summer.  Here’s a photo from yesterday of the thermometer in my car:

Even the piddly little tulips and daffodils in my yard are blooming!

My girls were over the moon!  And popsicles and slushy drinks didn’t hurt either:).

We had such a great day enjoying the warm weather.  It was time to head up for bed when all of a sudden I heard the front door slam.  I walked out to find this:

Apparently someone wasn’t done with this glorious day quite yet:).

And then her sister just had to join in too.

As far as we’re concerned, after this long, cold, snowy winter, summer can’t come fast enough!  Enjoy the heat wave!

Sometimes it’s both:).

Because of the interminably long winter here in the Northeast and the fact that my family apparently needed to pick up every possible virus going around these past few months, I have gotten out of the habit of just picking up my camera and photographing those perfect little day to day moments all around me.  It’s time to get back in the habit.

My youngest daughter is holding on to her babyhood with a deathgrip (“I not a big girl, I a leetle tiny baby, Momma!”), but actions definitely speak louder than words and we are officially and fully immersed in both the pain and joy of toddlerhood.

Moods that change at the drop of a hat:

Burgeoning artistic interests:

A complete propensity for trouble:

And an uncanny knack for getting out of it by playing up the cuteness:

“Hey baby girl, what happened?”

I am so grateful for every single day I have with these amazing little people who help me to learn, grow, and see the world in new and exciting ways.  Sometimes the challenges of parenting can seem overwhelming, but moments like these warm my heart and remind me that it’s all worth it.

Have a wonderful day!

Okay, so there’s no maybe about it.  This baby has the most amazingly long lashes.  I just couldn’t resist showing them off just a bit:).

I am still on cloud 9 after my newborn session this afternoon.  Baby K is 6 days old and made me work, but she was so deliciously perfect I drank in every single second.  And how could I do a shoot the day before Easter and not include a baby bunny?  Squishy baby perfection right there.

One of the best parts of my job is having the privilege of being included in that brief and blissful time when a family expands and makes room for another precious member.  I consider myself so lucky that people are willing to invite me into their home at such a new and tender time.  Mom and Dad are just so in love with her and it shows.

J and K, I had such a wonderful time today with baby K.  She really is the sweetest baby!  I don’t quite know who is luckier, the two of you to have her or her to have the two of you.  Happy Easter!
