I had the opportunity to photograph two darling little girls for the belle and the beau.  I didn’t have a lot of time with either of them, but it was a fun change of pace to photograph some older subjects, especially such pretty ones.  Their moms have both been so patient.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I photographed this little “angel” (see blog header) for her first birthday last year.  Mom says she’s entered the stoic phase:).  I can’t get enough of her darling blonde curls and those blue, blue eyes!

Okay, I just love the little brow furrow.

She’s a pretty lucky mom who gets to hear sweet two-year old whispers out of this darling mouth every day:).

This lovely lady was so much fum to spend time with–and she came with a lot of ideas about what to wear and how to pose.  Her red hair just kills me–LOVE it!  Mom was in another room while we shot, and I know she’s been dying to see what we captured.

Remember this gorgeous mom-to-be from right after Thanksgiving?  Well, one week after her session, baby Noah decided to show up 2 1/2 weeks early.  It got me thinking and I realized that this was the third mom who had her baby within a week of having a maternity session with me–and I have only had one client go past her due date.  Not that you should book with me to induce labor… I’m just sayin’…

This family is just so lovely that Noah couldn’t help but be a total cutie.  I loved his cute back wrinkles, round tummy, and ginormous hands.  Seriously, the boy is going to have to either play football or be a concert pianist with those looong fingers!  Because Noah lives so far away (and showed up so early) we didn’t get to hold the session until he was 18 days old–on his due date!  He definitely gave us a run for our money, but we managed to get some really beautiful images.

I am still not quite done for the year–I have two more newborn sessions in the next two days–but I wanted to take the time to wish all my blog readers a very happy holiday season while I have a moment to breathe:).  I hope your December is filled with love and laughter.

That’s what sweet baby Rhiannon was, at least for me.  She showed up the day before Thanksgiving–what a lot her parents have to be thankful for this year!  I thought I was nearly done with sessions until after the holidays, but when mom contacted me last week with a request for a newborn session, I just had to find a way to fit her in.  I am so glad I did, because it was like an early Christmas present to spend the day drinking in all her sweet feminine perfection.

I cannot get over how absolutely beautiful mom is.  Loved her hair and those striking blue eyes.  I am thinking dad’s going to have a rough time saying no to either of these gorgeous girls:).

I think one of the reasons I love to photograph mommies-to-be, besides the fact that they are just glowing, gorgeous, and simply amazing, is that I feel so honored to be included in such a momentous time in a family’s journey together.  Whether it’s a couple’s first child or their fifth, each new little person brings a unique personality and dynamic to the family.  It’s exciting to watch a family expand and make room in their hearts for their new arrival, and the fact that these families allow me to be a part of that anticipation is truly an honor.

This is baby #1 for this beautiful couple.  Already baby Noah is treasured by so very many people.  What a lucky, lucky boy to be coming into such a loving family!

I don’t think that Mom could be any prettier even if she tried.  I could be wrong.  But I’m usually not:)

Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this amazing time in your lives.  I cannot wait to see Noah again–this time on the outside:).
